The only thing that doesn't work anymore is the Aperture button, but for me I don't care for that button. Another problem I encountered with the grip is that it doesn't always tell you the exact battery percentage, but it's close and it would be nice if they could fix this in their newer models if they could do that. Over-all I give this grip a 4/5. Due to battery not always being consistent it loses a star. The time includes a family vacation and half-dozen all day swim meets.The packaging was simple & tight all the promised accessories were included; main battery grip housing, 2 battery trays ( 1 for Canon battery pack & 1 for 6 AAA batteries ). The batteries came packaged seperately in individual packaging. After unpackaing the battery grip, the first thing I noticed was the battery grip case weight seemed lighter than the Canon product I had tried in a local camera store. Not bad light just lighter, in a more plastic less metal sort of way. The included batteries charged ( & still charge ) w/out issue in my stock Canon charger. They seem to charge at the same speed as the stock Canon battery. I never has a reason to ever time the charge. When fully charged I have never run out of battery power... Read more |
